The $86 million Ellerton Drive extension project was officially opened to traffic on Friday 10 July. The Australian and NSW governments each committed $25 million towards the project while Queanbeyan - Palerang Regional Council committed $36 million.

Scope of Electrical and Communications Services Works:

6 new timber pole installations with fauna netting and rope under the new Queanbeyan river bridge.
